Card Disney Gift World
Sun, 14 Feb 2010 10:21:42 +0000Hey everyone! If you follow me on Twitter and/or Facebook you might have noticed that I just got back from the very first Disney Social Media Mom’s Celebration here at Walt Disney World. It was a whirlwind trip and I have so much FUN stuff to share with you!
One of the opportunities that we were privileged to participate in was a massive volunteer project right here in the heart of Walt Disney World’s Epcot Theme Park.
As part of the Disney Friends for Change Project Green, we volunteers, got to hob knob with some of the biggest Disney Channel Stars while giving back to the planet by planting around 350 oak trees. These trees will become a part of the 2010 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. The kids who participated were given special swag including “Friends for Change” aprons, hats and water bottles. My daughter was even able to get autographed pictures of each of the stars there that day. Take a look at the photos.
What a great idea about the tips!!! We have been getting $25 Disney Gift Cards for the girls each month. (Plus I have told our entire family to get them Disney Gift Cards for their B-Day!) I will start getting them just for tips from now on. (Oh yea, AND Mommy Drinks!!) The less money we use on the $750 Gift Card the more money we have for a deposit on our next trip to WDW!!!
I have loaded us up on Trading Pins from Ebay
I have had a CM friend get us all of the "Little things" that I know we will want to buy using her discount. (B-Day Cake Hats, Rain ponchos, Special Pins for each girl, Epcot Passport Book, Writing Pins, etc...)
I have ordered mainly from Disneyoutlet.com so the kids will have all of the clothes already and no need to buy them at the parks.
From the sounds of it, getting the Disney Gift Cards would be my best bet for whatever "comes up". Like our own little savings account that once we buy the card the money is saved just for Disney!!
Thanks for ALL of your suggestions!!! They REALLY helped!!!
